  • Frequently Asked Questions

    • Is Country Prime Foods licensed to do business in my neighborhood?

Yes! Please see the link that pertains to your state:
(Note – Country Prime Foods is the DBA for WC Affiliates LLC. Please search “WC Affiliates, LLC” when utilizing the links below.)

    • How long has Country Prime Foods been around?

We have well over 16 years of experience in this industry. Country Prime Foods was first established in July of 2007.

    • What is the difference between price per serving and price per pound?

Price per pound can include fat, bone, and waste that you pay for and throw away. All of our steaks are restaurant trimmed. They are cheaper per serving than most stores, and you get more edible portions per serving rather than paying for waste. All of our packages meet USDA weight and labeling regulations.

    • How do I order/re-order?

You can ask for a driver’s visit, order online by visiting our website www.countryprimefoods.com, or call our toll free number at 888-580-2238.

    • Will I get the same price again when reordering?

We do honor a 1-year price guarantee. You must have a receipt of sale to get the same reduced price, and you must purchase within 12 months of the original purchase date.

    • How can drivers offer reduced pricing?

The food market is constantly up and down based on supply and demand. When sales are high, prices generally drop for the drivers, and they can pass those savings along to the customer.

    • Why does it seem the drivers always have extra food on their trucks?

This can happen for a number of reasons. Cancelled orders, overstocking the warehouse, or just simply building up the routes in your neighborhood might be a particular reason for surplus quantities. Word of mouth is our advertising, and it is working well for our company while cutting advertising costs down to offer additional savings to the customer.

    • Why do we have to buy in such big quantities?

Our buying power is based on volume. We have figured an average case size to be suitable for large families and single person households. Our smallest pack (Steak) is 30 dinners for 2, and that package is guaranteed to keep for 12 months in your freezer. That’s 30 meals for 2 people out of 365 dinners that you will have this year. Our goal is to cut expenses by delivering less per year, supplying in bulk, and passing those savings onto you the consumer.

    • What if I don’t like a particular box of food in the variety?

Call our customer service line. The reason we put a guarantee on products is for unfortunate circumstances (mispackaged/mishandled product, or any particular steaks that don’t quite meet your standard of quality). We know that any business yields for unforeseen issues and want to have the chance to earn your future business as well.

    • What is the difference between select, choice, and prime steaks?

The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) grades products by quality standards based on maturity, fat content, fat color, and overall expected tenderness.

      • Prime
        • Prime cuts of beef are considered the highest quality of any of the grade. This steak has the highest concentration of "marbling," those white flecks of fat that run through the otherwise red cut. Marbling is the best indicator of how moist, tender and juicy the steak will become once cooked. Prime grade steaks come from young cows fed with an excellent diet. It is the most expensive of the grades because of its relative scarcity; less than 3 percent of all beef receives the coveted Prime title. Prime steaks and roasts do well with dry-heat cooking methods like roasting, broiling and grilling.
      • Choice
        • Choice cuts are the most popular with consumers thanks to their relatively good marbling and reasonable price tag. Though they have less marbling than Prime, they contain enough fat to produce a flavorful, tender steak. Choice steaks and roasts are easy to come by since they account for 50 percent of all beef the U.S.D.A. grades. Different cooking methods are suitable for different cuts of Choice beef. Steaks taken from the loin and rib will be almost as juicy as Prime cuts and do well with dry-heat methods. Steaks like the rump, round or chuck can become dry and are best prepared with moist-heat methods, like braising.
      • Select
        • Select cuts have the least amount of marbling of all of three widely available grades. Because it is so lean, Select beef is less juicy and flavorful than Choice or Prime. The meat is still fairly tender, however, and suitable for a number of cooking methods. Select beef benefits greatly from marinades, which infuse flavor and moisture into the lean cuts. Loin, rib and sirloin select steaks can be cooked with dry methods, but a marinade is essential to ensure a moist finished product. All other Select cuts are best prepared with moist cooking methods. Select cuts account for about one-third all graded beef.

          • Why are there solution additives in the beef? Are they harmful?

The additives in our steak variety offer a longer shelf life in your freezer consisting of salt, water, bromelain, and ficin. This option allows us to forgo the use of unnatural preservatives in our customer’s diets. The ficin and bromelain are used to assist in additional desired tenderness and are naturally derived from fig and pineapple. These enzymes are sought after in most nutrition stores and may provide many health benefits. Please see these links:

          • Where does the food come from?

We proudly carry products packed in the U.S. All steak, chicken, and pork products come from Minneapolis, MN. The seafood is packaged from the Pacific in southern California.

          • What are the shipping costs?

We offer free freight on regular priced items shipped within the continental United States. Customers must pay the shipping on discounted products or items shipped outside of the continental United States. All products must be shipped on dry ice and have a ship time of less than 48 hours to maintain temperatures.

          • How long will my purchase keep in the freezer?

We guarantee all vacuum-sealed items for up to 12 months against freezer-burn. Any item packaged without vacuum seals (i.e. shrimp, chicken tenders, unsealed fish filets, cordon bleu, etc…) should be eaten within 2 to 3 months to avoid freezer burn.

          • How do I know these products are safe for my family?

All products have a seal of approval on every case marked by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and must go through a rigorous inspection. The number on the USDA label is actually tied with one particular inspector at the packaging level, and can be traced all of the way back to that specific USDA representative.

          • Why do I get a voicemail when I call customer service?

This is actually another growing pain as our company makes the transition from a small business to a larger corporation. Rest assured, our representatives make a living full time based on happy customers. Have faith that a representative will return your call within 24 hours during our operating hours of 10am – 7pm. Please be patient with us as we make the changes necessary to have full time live customer service representatives.

          • What is the USDA?

The United States Department of Agriculture (informally the Agriculture Department or USDA) is the United States federal executive department responsible for developing and executing U.S. federal government policy on farming, agriculture, and food. It aims to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers, promote agricultural trade and production, work to assure food safety, protect natural resources, foster rural communities and end hunger in the United States and abroad.

          • Is my personal information kept confidential?

Country Prime Foods values your right to privacy, and will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that your credit card information remains confidential. We will not permit the use of personal information outside the scope of our general business purposes.

          • How long does it take to get my order?

All products are delivered within 3 business days (excluding holidays and weekends) from the time of ordering to ensure a timely deliver and wholesomeness of your products.

Thank you for taking the time to find the answers to your important questions. For any further questions please log in and send us a note or feel free to contact your representative at our toll free number posted on the home page of this website.
