While it is important for our company to watch our bottom line, we also have a responsibility to carry a product that helps the environment, and satisfies some customer’s needs to purchase in this responsible fashion. In 2011, we launched our new line of natural beef. We would love nothing more than to switch our entire line over to this particular product if only the demand was there.

Our natural beef pack is purchased from a variety of California and Arizona farms. Why not just one supplier? Our purchasing of this one particular product is over 327,600 dinners in it’s first year. We had a test run of this product in 2010, and immediately ran out of supplies at the farm level. Because of our large purchasing, and the greater demand for healthier and greener options, we insist on consistent quality standards from all of our local farmers, while still meeting USDA approvals. While our choice beef pack is still most desired nationwide, we really appreciate the consumers that are making strides toward buying local, bringing business back to their own communities, and understanding the difference in costs to be able to bring such quality products forward.
